RoadKill has indicated that this thread is about Malaysia

We will be flying to Bali but spending a night in KL. Our flight will arrive KL at 10PM and the flight to Bali is at 9AM the following day. Since we will just be in transit in KL, which hotels (or hostel) would you recommend? I don't want to spend much (budget is BELOW $20) but my companion and I still would like to sleep comfortably before our next flight. A/C and an attached bathroom is required but breakfast isn't. Since this will also be our fist time in KL, though we've got very limited time we still would want to see the city. I've got no clue which hotel to take so I would need your advice. Thanks in advance!

You really don't have much time to see the city, as it is 70 km from the airport. If you only arrive at 10pm, by the time you get out of the airport and get to the city it will be close to midnight. From the airport to town it is one hour by road or 30 mins by train.
If your flight is 9am you have to check in 7am, leave for the airport before 6am.
I suggest you stay at a hotel near the airport, they are not cheap, but more convenient. Otherwise you will waste money on travelling to and from the city. Check the internet for hotels.

go for airside transit hotel at KLIA. Checkout this site! http://www.klia.com.my/index.php?ch=8&pg=87&tpt_id=13

Yes. You do not have time to travel to KL city for cheaper hotels. The closes hotel the international airport is Pan Pacific. It may cost you up to USD80 a night. It is a walking distance from the airport.

I suggest you just take a nap in the departure areas (where you will be landing). It is safe there as all passengers will have to have a boarding pass in order to be there. Afterall, it will be only a 5 to 6 hours nap. There are 24 hours shops there. Used the 20 for food instead.

Cheers.

11hrs transit doesn't benefit u much coz there is nothing u can do when at the same time u want a good rest.

Airside transit hotel in satellite building is expensive and Pan Pac is will cost you more. the chepest around KLIA is Concorde Inn which 2km fr the airport so i'm sure that they provide shuttle or you can check out Concorde Hotel located in KL CBD as they have a room pakage that include one way transfer to KLIA. The hotel is 10-15min walking distance to the Twin Tower (if that is what you want to see).

Thank you to those who replied. I just found out that we have 13 hours to spare (minus immigration and customs check) before our next flight to Bali. It's still not enough so I guess we'll just stay at the Concorde Inn and sleep. We'll visit the city on our way back. We have an 18-hour stopover that time (arriving 5PM and leaving 11AM the following day). I think this is more than enough time to see the Twin Towers, visit the night market and some other interesting places. So my next question will be, which area in the city should we stay at to maximize our time? Thanks again!

I suggest you stay around China town, as you have a wide range of accommodation prices, & its near the night market. Its easy travelling around KL, you can either walk, or take buses, or even taxis are cheap, just make sure they use the meter.

Note that the earlier mail about Concorde hotel seems a bit confusing. There are 2 Concorde hotels. One is near the airport, the other is in the city centre, near Twin Towers, and where Hard Rock cafe is situated.
