I have 4 weeks to see some combination of Laos/Cambodia/Vietnam.
Please advise on either:
a) 1 week: Paske - Bolevan Plateau - Champasak - 4000 Islands;
1 week: Down the Mekong from Laos to Kratie for an overnight and then to Phnom (2 days) and Ankor Wat (3 days);
2 weeks: Into Vietnam at Chau Doc (2 days), Phu Quoc (3 days), Can Tho (2 days), HCMC (2 days), Tunnels (1 day), Dalat (3 days), plus 1 day grace.
b) 1 week in Ankor Wat/Phnom Phen then 3 weeks doing the same locations in Vietnman as above, but for longer stays (ie: skip southern Laos and northest Cambodia altogether).

Thank you!!

Your first itinerary seems a bit rushed. I would go with the second. If you can, get up to Northern Vietnam. For me it's the highlight of Southeast Asia.

Thanks for the advice - I was also thinking that the first may be too rushed. WRT northern Vietnam, I have actually already been up there so I was going to pass this time around. But I agree that it is one of the gems of Asia.
