yeah! actually, a itinerary that would work and not stretch you too thin! congratulations, I dont see these too often!

Altho id say dump a day from Krakow or Vienna and add it to Berlin.

^ I disagree. Bump a day from Bratislava and move it to Berlin...

Also consider taking the twin city liner (ferry) down the Danube between Bratislava and Vienna, it is a very nice ride with good scenery and some castles line the river banks along the way...

I agree, even though you have more days in Krakow and Vienna they're worth it. Bratislava is nice enough but if it's a choice between Bratislava and any of the other cities on your itinerary I have to favour the others (except Trencin which I've never visited).

Hello Orliol:)

Looks perfect.
Plenty of time to enjoy the cities, and to relax too. And night trains save so much time and money.
I presume, u have checked, that there are direct train routes, for the journies u want to make.
I also like Wills idea, about the boat, from Brataslava to Vienna. If u have not bought your train ticket yet...

Only thing i'd recommend is avoiding the overnight train to prague from berlin, its only a 5 hour trip during the day and overnights are a pain, specially being woken up at borders for passport checks. also if you're not using a eurail or interrail pass look at a budget airline flight from prague to krakow, you can get flights for the same price as the rail but it takes about an hour or so

Thanks very much,
Actually I am arriving in Berlin on the morning of the 9th so do have an extra day. I was just wondering if it would be better to buy an interrail pass for £179 or perhaps it would end up cheaper to buy the individual fares once there.

It is possible to get bargain rail tickets for very cheap. However u would usually have to book them, a few months in advance, and the bargins are not always available and the destinations on offer are only temporarily on offer.
If u pay regular price for your tickets, I think all the ones u want, would add up to more than £179(by the way, that seems like a good price, for an interail ticket. I thought they would be more expensive. I have not bought one, for years).
