Myself and 4 others are heading to Milan in a few weeks. There was supposed to be a soiree at a vineyard but it fell through..
We are on a budget so we dont really want to go into Milan. WE have a car rented and are looking for somewhere relatively cheap where we can camp and have a few drinks and play music without disturbing anyone..
At the moment we are looking at Lake Como as its only ah hr from Bergamo airport (where we fly into)
has anyone stayed here before? is it more of a family\couples area?
any help or advise on other places would be very helpful
All I know about Lake Como is that it is very pretty and George Clooney has a house there.
Lake Como is a stunningly beautiful place.. I am not sure about camping around there though as i stayed there years ago in a hotel. But I would definately recommend it for the views alone.
I am going to Milan Bergamo 10th June, and then on to Lake Iseo which is near for a few nights. I am back packing around Europe, I wanted to see the Lakes but avoid Milan City. I have found that its cheaper to stay at Lake Iseo and do arranged day trips to the bigger lakes.
Let me know what you think of this.
