I haven't seen O, but I did catch a Cirque du Soleil show here at home. It really is special - unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'd say if you're there and you're wanting to go and can afford to splurge, go for it. I don't think you'll regret it!

Not having seen O but l did see it advertised in Vegas (is that the one with the rude muppet like characters or am l mixing it up with something else?) but we did go and see the Blue Man Group in Venetian - that was SOOOOO worth it - if your in Vegas you gotta go see a show!

Just outside Fashion Show Mall on The Strip there is a discount ticket booth you could try there to see if you can get any tickets for the shows with some money off? Although l think all the big shows found in the main Strip hotels are pretty busy and you are best just going directly to the hotel complex and buying the tickets at the box office.

Go see a show in Vegas - its well worth it!

I haven't seen O either but I have seen two Cirque shows in Vegas. I saw Zumanity at NY NY and Mystere at Treasure Island. Both shows were amazing. I say any Cirque show in Vegas is worth the money. Next trip I'm going to see O.

I saw 'O' last Nov. It was good, but there was too much dead time for me. A couple of guys paddle around on a raft and do silly mime, this happens twice, perhaps 25 minutes of nothing. I guess they are setting up for the next stunt. There are some spectacular water stunts going on, but I would not go see it again.

I also saw 'Ka' at the MGM, 'La Rev' at the Wynn, 'Mystere' over at the Treasure Island, 'Zumanity' at NY, NY and 'Love' at the Mirage.

If you really like music, go see 'Love' at the Mirage. The way the Cirque folks stage the Beatle songs is just fantastic. Allan & Gail came to Vegas and we hit some of the hotels as well as the Grand Canyon. They saw 'Love' on my recommendation and raved about it for days. It is theatre in the round, so don't pay the extra money to sit down front. Same situation at 'La Rev'. A round theatre and not a bad seat in the house.

I vote 'Love' first, 'La Rev' second, 'Ka' third, 'O' forth, then 'Mystere', 'Zumanity' last. You really have to be up for a sexy Cirque show to enjoy 'Zumanity'. I would not recommend it, or 'Mystere', just ordinary after seeing 'Ka' or 'Love'.

I hope this helps with your decision. Send me a PM if you want any help with Vegas.

For my money, the best shows in Vegas are Danny Gans (absolutely amazing impersonations of anybody you can think of), Elton John, Blue Man Group, Celine Dion, and Tony and Tina's wedding.

Also quite good is David Copperfield, and I understand Toni Braxton is due in town real soon.

Enjoy.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that Jay Leno appears in Vegas often--flying up on weekends at the last minute to do a few comedy shows--usually at the Mirage.

FYI, Toni Braxton is here now and will be for an extended engagement.
