Vegetarian Dim Sum in Los Angeles, CA?

Travel Forums North America Vegetarian Dim Sum in Los Angeles, CA?

Good day everyone! I've been in search of a vegetarian dim sum place for awhile now and the only luck I've had is in New York! ...which is kind of far considering I live in Arizona haha.

However, I will be in Los Angeles this weekend and was wondering if anyone can recommend any vegetarian dim sum in the city?

Thank you so much

This doesn't help with your immediate request, but if you are ever up in Toronto...

There are a couple places that might be of interest.

Bo De Duyen in china town, or there's a place on Augusta avenue just south of College that has veggie dim sum.

Cheers,
Greg

The two best dim sum spots in the LA area are both within a few blocks of each other--one is Ocean Star, the other is New Concept--both on Atlantic Blvd in Monterey Park (about 7 miles east of downtown LA).

Just tell them you want vegetarian only and that's what they will get you. They serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dim sum. Tell them you want the tofu (tara) cake, or the turnip cake--both are great.

Enjoy:

I'll second the motion on Calcruzer's recommendations. There is a large Asian community in Monterey Park and the food at these locations is outstanding.
