KOOLKAZ has indicated that this thread is about Thailand

im doing cambodia, laos, vietnam and thailand over a period of two months from sept to nov this year. Im going to fly back from Krabi in south thailand and was wondering if you can book the return flight once i get there as it might be cheaper. does anyone know of any airlines that do a one way ticket from Krabi to London or Manchester on the UK. Im on a very tight budget. Also excluding flights, would £800 last me 8 weeks in those four countries.

thanks

kylie

Hi Kylie I've never heard of any direct flights from Krabi to the UK, I think these flights connect at Bangkok, so I would imagine it would be cheaper to go by land to Bangkok and fly one way to the UK from there.

If you're in the South of Thailand you could also consider flying to the UK from Kuala Lumpar.

Another option involves some long flights but saves you a few quid and you taking in a few more countries;

you could travel to Singapore through Malaysia by land and fly to Hong Kong for about £55 with Jetstar airlines and then fly back to the UK from Hong Kong with Oasis airlines for £130 so you could get back to the UK for £185 + the cost of getting to Singapore by train/bus (or you could get a flight from Phuket to Kuala Lumpar for £30) Those prices include taxes, so you'd save quite a bit of money as a one way flight from BKK to London is about £350

You can certainly survive on that much money if you stay in hotels without aircon, eat food from the street vendors etc.

here are the links to the low cost airlines in the region, have a look and see what you can find.

There are no direct flights from krabi, your best bet would be to deal with a bangkok Travel agency, fatraes are relatively cheap, roughly around USD 300-325 one way, Srilankan is often the cheapest to Europe, also you have Qatar Airways, Etihad, Gulf Air, Turkish, Kuwait Airways, Egyptair, Jet Airways etc all should be cheap, plus plenty of European Airlines with good fares like Finnair, Scandinavian, even Lufthansa and Air France often have cheap promotions.
