clairemz29 has indicated that this thread is about England

I am making plans to move to London within the next couple of months. I would love to get advice and hear stories from those who have traveled to London or who live there. Cheers!:)

Hi Claire!

The most I've ever seen of London is in a 4-hour lay-over in Heathrow, so I can't really help ya there, but welcome to TP!

Cheers,
Katie ;)

Hi Claire

I've been to London twice, and although dutch would be able to give you the best tips (given that he actually lives there ;)), maybe i can be of service in the tourist department.

The places i liked best were Carnaby street and Leicester Square and Covent Garden. There is so much to do and see, that it's difficult to say exactly where to go in these areas, but what i loved best was the atmosphere (probably all big tourist places, but great nevertheless).

One of the best things about London though is the Underground (the subway system). It's so convenient, you can get anywhere you need to go. Just pick up a tube map and you're set.

Welcome to TP!
