I know I asked this before, but I'm still trying to figure it out. I was wondering if anyone can give me a really detailed explanation, and stops, and what place to get on at the subway, to get from heathrow airport to the London City Airport. I'm think I'll most likely do that, but I might just go to some info. desk and ask them, if they happen to have any shuttle services, or something similar to get me from there to the other airport. If I some how got stuck in london, that wouldn't really be such a bad thing :P.
I think I reply to your other post already, but the best way to plan how to get from LHR to LCY is to go to www.tfl.gov.uk and go to the journey planner section. Just put where you wanna go from where you wanna go and it will give you all the options. you can even specify what methods of transport you wanna use and stuff. It is dead easy, you'll see.

Get on the train at Heathrow and take it to Holborn.
At Holborn, change trains and get on the Central Line (red) and catch the tube to Bank (3 stops)
From Bank, get on the Docklands Light Rail and take it to London City Airport (9 stops).
They are my easy directions. I'm not sure what a travel planner would advise.
I don't think that Shuttle services between HRW and CTY exist [I don't show them on the official publicity i produce for London City Airport] and if they did, you would be at the mercy of the London traffic anyway (because it would have to go across London to have any kind of chance of making it worthwhile).
So your on to normal Pub-Trans, and James' directions make perfect sense, though with one technical amend:
Get on the Underground - Piccadilly line - at Heathrow and take it to Holborn. You can take an actual train - the Heathrow Express - instead into Central London, but you then (a) pay much more and (b) have to change in different places.
- Piccadilly line Underground - Purple line, but the only line there is - to Holborn. This takes roughly an hour.
- Change at Holborn onto an Eastbound Central - red - line train to Bank.
- Change at Bank onto a DLR train direct to London City Airport
At both Heathrow and Bank, you can only travel in one direction on that line, so Holborn is the only one where you have the chance to go the wrong way.
Thanks for everyones help on directions, I will copy and paste these and print them off, and take them with me. If I have too much trouble, there should be somebody there that can point me to the right train, well I hope so :P. I only have about 6 weeks until I leave, so I just want to make sure I know how to go about this. If I got lost and missed my flight, do you think they'd put me on another flight, I heard they usally do. I have 6 hours, so I think thats enough time to get across london.
