Royal Khmer Airlines is not only the airline company that cumulates the highest rate of cancellation, delays and safety issues of all Asia. It is also a dishonest company that do not hesitate to rip-off its own customers. It sold me two tickets for a flight that did not even fly. They took the money, issued e-tickets for a round trip Seoul to Siem Reap. The return flight just did not fly and they left me without assistance in Siem Reap. And they just turn a deaf ear to my request of refund. For one year I have not been able to get my money back. What to do when you are in a different country and you have paid by credit card?

Robert,
First of all, thanks for posting your experience on Royal Khmer Air. Now other TP members may think twice before using them for a flight segment.

I would not have waited a year to seek redress from a cancelled flight. I have had 3 disputes with businesses where I have paid with my credit card. After my written complaint was reviewed, I won all 3 claims and had the charges taken off my bill. Contact your credit card company, get the necessary forms to fill out and document your dispute. I feel that you have a very good chance of winning your dispute with Royal Khmer and obtaining a refund. Good Luck.

I wouldn't have waited a year to complain. You have a right to dispute the charges with your credit card company. Once they started monkeying around with me, if what you said actually happened the way you state, I would have been on the telephone to my credit card issuer and put the charge in dispute.

However, you got to Siem Reap okay with them but they did not have a flight available for you to continue back to Korea. Did they offer a second flight? Did they offer to put you on an other flight from a different company? Did you refuse any offer that they made that would have got you back to Korea?

I have had flights cancel out on me, some times the planes break down and the airline re-schedules me to another flight or even another company. Stuff happens!

If they offered to put you on another plane and you refused you might not be due any money back. Obviously you did make it back to Korea so there were other flights available, eventually.

Just curious.
