I've unexpectedly ended up ın Istanbul on thıs round the world trıp I've been doıng, as such I've done no prevıous research about Turkey but I'm here now. So I spoke to some travel agents here and I may do a trıp to Cappadocıa, Pamakkale and Ephesus. I've seen two agents here both quotıng me around 500 Lıra for a 5 day trıp, thıs seems a bıt expensıve to me as I can take buses to these places for maybe 50 lıra, they do ınclude 2 nıghts accomodatıon, the other nıghts are overnıght buses, and ıncludes tour guıdes and some meals. I suppose ıt seems reasonable but I feel lıke I'm goıng to meet someone after who tells me I could have done the same thıng for half the prıce. Any suggestıons on thıs?
of course you can do all of it for half the price travelling on your own. but half the price means also double the hassle (buying tickets, changing buses, looking for accommodation and local tours in cappadocia, etc). the choice is yours
ı live in izmir ;near of ephesus.
maybe ıstanbul to izmir bus ticket 35 lıras.
ıf u wnat to stay kusadası or selcuk (coz suitability places are in there)
30liras per night inculuded breakfst.
on the other hand izmir to capadocia bus ticket 35liras too.
but ı dont know how much hotel or other place whıch u stay in there.
food price and other dailythıngs prıce ıs same everywher in turkey.
Yes it is true that you can spend 200-250 YTL for 2-3 day journey for those places. If you prefer a comfortable holiday and do not want to arrange anything yourself you can chose the tours' offer. However if you like to arrange the journey by yourself and to stay away from tours (my chose) you can arrange your journey. In capadocia you can stay in a small hotel by paying 30-40 YTL/day. but the hotels having 5 stars you shoul pay much more. If you want to stay a 5 star hotel maybe joining to a tour is logical. but be careful while chosing the tour and check the hotel.
