Hey Guys

I'm headed up the coast from Brisbane in a few days, and while I still have Hervey Bay and 1770 to visit, I'd like to start seeing whats available in Bundaberg before I get too far up the coast.

The only problem is that most of the sites I normally use to find accomidation at dont list any hostels at all for Bundaberg :( I heard something about a place called the Cellblock or something, but I cant find it online.

Has anyone done fruit picking there? I'd like to be there for at least a month while I wait for my friends to catch up to me on the coast. Any info / websites would be much appreciated.

Thanks a ton!

Del

There's the Bundaberg Backpackers & Travellers Lodge which is opposite the coach stop on Targo St - the hostel is listed as 2 Crofton St. I stayed here quite a few years ago and it catered to people wanting to fruitpick, as well as some people passing through. It was a clean hostel which felt pretty safe, and for me was good as it was a 1-nighter for me, and as I said right by the coach stop! Don't know what it'll be like now though.

Their phone number is (07) 4152 2080.

Hello,
Try some of these. Think about going to Childers as well. It's a half hour from Bundy and there's plenty of work there for backpackers. The whole town is geared to backpackers looking for seasonal work.
