Full Moon Party - Best Place to stay?

Travel Forums Asia Full Moon Party - Best Place to stay?

Had a look at other threads - all seem to say that it is best to stay somewhere away from the party? – Less chance of getting broke into

Anyone recommend a good place to stay for a 22, single, solo, male, traveller, that likes beach bungalow style, that I can book in advance?

Will be at the FMP on July 31st – can’t wait!!!

Thanks very much! Simon

Hey Simon,

we're staying at a place called coco garden bungalows on Koh Phangan, its far enough from the party to be safe but easy enough to get a taxi down there, and quite cheap too, we are paying around £50 for two of us to stay 5 nights.

Google it and u'll find pics and stuff, have a great time x

Hi Simon

I was i Thailand last year and stayed in the Mac Bay Resort which is on Ban Tai beach

I wouldnt advise staying in Had Rin which is where the full moon partys are as you wont get any sleep (if thats what you want) and i heard lots of stories about bungalows being broken into. The Mac Bay has got bungalows right on the beach with hammocks outside, a friendly little local bar and serves great food. Its really chilled out and we loved it so much we stayed for 5 nights which cost me and my boyfriend 25 pounds for the both of us for the whole time. Its only a short cab ride down to the party, if not there are loads of places on Ban Tai beach so you can just walk up and down until you find somewhere

Hope this helps, have a good one.

Oh im so excited and love threads like this! Im staying at the Grand Sea Resort for the FMP 31st July!! Flying from Dublin 29th July and arrived on Koh Phangan on the 30th, rest for a day, then party my ass off!! Im meeting a freind the day I arrive but only for a few days then im a complete female solo traveller and scared shitless but so excited! Staying in Thailand for approx 18days then onto Vietnam for volunteering, all work no play.............. that is til hopefully until i get back to Thailand! The place i booked looked good enough and got a good deal with for my friend and I. Really wanted to have it booked cos i hear accommodation books out pretty early.

Still can’t decide on accommodation for the FMP – I want somewhere that I can meet other people (I’m travelling alone and young - 22), somewhere that isn’t in the middle of no where and want to stay on the beach in a beach bungalow – any ideas?
