I am in the very early planning stages for a month backpacking trip in Italy (and maybe some Greece) around May/June 2008. Just found out about Rimini via this board and was hoping for a little more information. Here are some questions:
1. Is end of May too early for the beach/party scene? Too cold or no one there yet...
2. Should I plan to be there on a weekend for the real party time or is it pretty much fun all week?
3. How many nights should I spend to experience the "party" and can move on?
Thanks for any help!
Just red your question, I'm travelling to Italy this August and never red about Rimini. Is there a big party festival that happens there, each year or is it just summer time??? I'm keen to find out.
Not too sure yet myself. Someone else asked about italian beaches and Rimini was a suggestion. Googled Rimini and other sources said it was a party place so now I'm trying to find out what kind of party! Heard the town itself doesn't have dance clubs per se but bars with dancefloors. A town nearby has real dance clubs, though. So, hopefully someone here can give more info. Looked up hostels in Rimini and a reviewer said no one was there in early May so people should go June-Sept.
