A friend and I will be traveling in Europe in August and have some decisions to make in regard to where I we want to go. I've posted a rough itinerary on here for some took look over and give their input but I'm not rethinking a few of the destinations.

Would you all mind comparing and constrasting your opinion of where you'd rather travel between Prague and the French Riveriera and also where'd you'd rather travel between Florence and Venice and why? This will be in addition to my own research but it helps to hear from those who have experience.

Thanks!

Prague and the French Riviera...(my 2 cents)

Don't get me wrong I love Venice, and Florence seems awesome as well....

But Venice needs no more than 1-2 days max....so your trip would basically just be Florence.

With Prague and France you get to see two completely ddifferant cultures and see two beautiful places...

If you decide on the French Riviera, I really love Villefranch Sur Mer, just about 6-7 km east of Nice. Much more relaxed than Nice, and MUCH, MUCH quieter, plus you are walking distance ( a few km) from nicer beaches on Cap Ferrat.

I think we're definitely going to try and do Prague rather than the French Riviera. The French Riviera, though no doubt beautufil, just looks like a big tourist trap and seems to be quite a bit more expensive than our other destinations. Being that we're broke college students, finances are one of the main concerns. Still haven't decided whether to go to Florence or Venice, though. Maybe we could do both and just spend a day in each...
