Oh yes...and if you really want to get the most bang for your buck, go to Budapest, Hungary. It's really a beautiful city and I reccomend the Kalmar B&B http://www.hotelhungary.com/hotel/kalmar.asp

Lakes, mountains,castles,...maybe beach. We don't have any preference. We just want something romantic and not expensive.

Hmmm . . . how about Germany? The Schwarzwald (Black Forest) is beautiful and Germany has some of the world's most amazing castles.

If cost is a significant issue, I would suggest a beach package holiday - Europe has some amazing beaches.

Additionally, Eastern Europe has opened up of late to tourism but the advantage is that the prices are still very low compared to Western Europe.

Did you have a specific country in mind that you would like to visit?

Just some questions/remarks. If you want it cheap, why are you going to Europe and take an expensive flight?
Maybe for example go to some places closer by in South America, or when flying further away, maybe choose a country like South Africa?
It is just that Europe can be cheap, but if you want some romance it means paying a little bit as well.
Although camping in Scandinavia is what I would call romantic, not some crowded cities, beaches or lakes.
