Why do bananas grow in a curve shape,not straight?Im bored so thought I would ask a dumb question?

Maybe they just need to be turned on. Grow a female banana tree nearby (if there is such a thing) ;)

I think I read somewhere that they do in fact grow straight but are genetically modified to make them curvy and thus more appealing to consumers. Maybe Utrecht has a point . . .

why not you grow a Papaya tree beside the banana tree?

I heard somewhere that bananas are being genetically modified to be straight because bendy bananas are harder to ship ie. take up too much room and aren't stackable enough..
