Hi,

I am off to Thailand on the 25th July for a month. My friend went last year and emailed me some information – I thought I would share as it sounds like a good plan

Hope people find it useful – enjoy x

hey hun, sorry it took so long ive been in egypt.. just got back the other day i loved it... anyway, i went to thailand for 3 months and went to loads little islands and the big places too so i just give u a quick run down of my opinions....
landed 2 nights- in bangkok, well woth a visit, the markets lady boy shows and the famous kho shan road. youll meet loads of amazing people drinking buckets on kho shan road, all our age and usully end up travelling with them !!!! for 3 months in my case!!
then bus down to koh sumai- bit like ibiza! but worth a night out on the beach and hire a moped to see the island, its bautiful. i then spent 5 nights on koh pan yang- for a full moon party- def recommend this- a weird experience but amazing- the nights leading upto the party as just as crazy. then over to kah toa for scuba diving and the national park not too be missed.
then bus to phuket- i hated it, thought it was like benidorm but u may want to stay a night or something.... then boat to koh phiphi ( were they filmed the beach) i endud up stayin a whole week! my fav place in the whole world. then onto krabi for rock cmimbing. anout 2 nights is enough. then i went to malaysia from here and singapore but if u dont fancy that. get a flight to chain mai (northern thailand) i went on a jungle trek- really comercial but worth the tenner i pain for a 2 night trek!!!!! went elephant riding here and rafting ... def worth a visit.. the night markets are loevely too. then i did all the little islands that lead to Cambodia.... i would recommend (if u have time) koh samet, koh chang and i cant remember the name of the other but its right next to koh samet. They are very chillin and relaxing and have gorg beaches so deends what ur looking for, very different from the bright lights of koh sumai and kohpanyang.

i then did cambodia, vietnam and loas but i dont suppose ull have enough time to do these... def would recommend for a future visit tho!!

Hi Lodes,

I have heard that Julies guesthouse in Chiang Mai is a great place - have you ever been here, & if so how would you compare to spicy thai?

Thanks!

I can't compare as I know nothing about julies GH.
