Hello,
I am just curious about the details of renting a car in the U.S. Is there a minimum age of 18 yrs or 21 yrs or something different? Also, I live in Canada and have a valid driver's license here.
Thanks for any help!

Actually, there are differences between car rental agencies. Just check their websites to be sure: Hertz, Avis, Alamo, Budget, Thrifty, Dollar are the biggest.
For cheap used cars, check rentawreck.com
Most times minimum age is 21 or 23, but I have seen 25 as well. And sometimes it's possible to rent one when you are younger but you pay more or I have even seen you have to be accompanied or such a thing.

I also might add that it also probably requires a major credit card, not a debit card. It is possible to pay cash with some companies, but it would require a substantial deposit.

Your Canadian license is sufficient here.
