I am wondering if it is worth staying in Salzburg for two days or if I would be better off staying in Munich for the extra two days for a total of 5 days in Munich with a day trip to Fussen. I know that there is a lot to see in Munich and I am not sure if I would be able to see everything in only 3 days with my flight leaving early the next morning. ANy help would be appreciated. Thanks.

salzburg is a beautiful city, no worse than munich, and missing it would be a pity. it's not big, so you can visit it from munich on a 1-day trip, although 2 days are of course better.

I agree it is a beautiful city and the castle is amazing. Well worth the trip for a day or two.

Gotta agree with the travellers above. Salzburg is a really nice city, but perhaps 2 days would be a bit too much? I'm not sure.

I agree. Salzburg is cute, but one night is enough.
Enjoy your trip.

Well it depends a little bit. Salzburg is a good startingpoint for doing some trips.
You could go to Werfen, to see the icecaves (www.eisriesenwelt.com) and the castle, and you can also go on some tours in the region.
