IMO there is no such thing as just plain bad movie. Movies can be "so bad that they are actually good". Just gotta be in right mood to view a film, but that's just my opinion. If movie is below average, it'll work well as a comedy anyway.

I think I might kind of agree with you there, I mean the bride of chucky was awful so bad it was hilarious

Haven't you ever sat through a movie, only to wish you could get those two hours of your life back?? I mean I know I have sat though a few that were actually painful there were so terrible! (ack! The wasted hours of my life...as opposed to the very rewarding hours spent on TP of course!;) )

My youngest daughter picked out "Miss Congeniality 2" last night...the 2 in the title should have tipped me off.....(Gag) Another 2 hours of my life that I will never get back! :(

- Ringu

The Ring scared the pants off me, but Ringu? Maybe I should have seen the original first...

Did you watch the Japanese original, or the American remake?

I quite like The Unbearable Lightness of Being (both novel & film) since I like Milan Kundera's stuff. It's a bit tedious, but still a very good read (for me, at least).

Portrait of a Lady was quite boring.

Me too, especially the Prague scenes. It could have been shorter, but I still enjoyed it none the less.

I have seen three terrible movies (DVDs)lately:

1. The Stepford Wives - complete rubbish
2. Bride & Prejudice - turned it off after 20 minutes
3. Spanglish - fell asleep due to the drawn out nature of the so-called story.

I haven't seen Bride and Predjudice yet..but I agree with you on the other two...movies in general seen to really have gone down hill in the past 20 years..:(
