Which would you rather visit for a long weekend during the summer?

Which would you rather visit for a long weekend during the summer?

I would choose Athens even though I think it hotter than Rome in mid summer. In Athens, if you tire of all the archaeological sites you can head down to Cape Sounion or, checkout the island in the Saronic Gulf (Aegina, Poros, Angistri) just a couple of hours from Piraeus.

Rome all the way. There is so much to see. It's a great walking city. Check out some lonely planet guides on it, they're pretty informative.
Rome is loads better than Athens, although 3 days isn't enough to do Rome justice. You'd need a minimum of 5 days to do it the justice it deserves.
