hi Jon,

I just checked ur pics... i must say u have clicked real good ones.

Indeed Kashmir is a beautiful place to roam around. Except for the insurgency problem that has troubled the valley for so many years, the valley itself has breath-taking sights which are not to be missed.

Hi Jon,

true, most of the trek routes in india are expensive, but if u wanna trek around the Leh area, take the land route to leh either from Srinagar or Manali just to get used to the high altitude and rough terrain.

for leh u dont need to book trek in advance, u can get some cheaper ones if u enquire right there in Leh

if expensive here, why not try trekking in Nepal?

For trekking areas with similar (maybe even more ownsome) landscape include nepal, india, tibet. Nepal might be the best choice for me.
