You're up early... and we're up late :)

noticed my status after I'd done the post.... doh!

Anyway,
updated a few things... however... will try and get some time in the Cities sections etc. as we bum around this place (trying to save money as we go!)

One thing I do have to ask is... we're in a cracking Hotel (a cheap one so affordable to all and sundry) and I'd like to tell others on the noticeboard about it...

Where's the best place to do this ?

Is there a hostel section for recommendations on the City sections etc. ? Or is this something of a no-go area i.e. hotel recommendations etc.

Just curious

cheers
Tafffski

Actually, it's already noon here :)

One thing I do have to ask is... we're in a cracking Hotel (a cheap one so affordable to all and sundry) and I'd like to tell others on the noticeboard about it...

Where's the best place to do this ?

The best place to do this in the most specific guide article. So, if it was in a small town, then use that town's article. There's a "Sleep" heading that it should fall under.

If it was in a large city, then use the suburb's article (if that exists). For instance, in the Melbourne article, I've listed some places to stay in the Fitzroy sub-article. The main Melbourne article would otherwise be far too lengthy.

The Brighton guide also lists some places to stay and provides a bit more detail about the options. It's probably a good example of a balanced review. Although it doesn't list an address or phone number so is a little lacking also.

One day we do intend to have a proper accommodation review system in place in our accommodations section. But that day isn't here yet.

Posting accommodation recommendations that in the forum is unfortunately off-limits.

Hello.

I just found this thread and had a chance to look over all the marvels of canada, but I was a bit confused....there was no mention of the upcoming olympics at whistler (the best mountain ever!!!!...I go to school in BC, I love that mountain) in 2010? Could that count as an event?

Also, (not sure if this is important) you can also get a work permit with a student visa. They just recently allowed international students to find work outside of campus....

The cover is great! glad you got the stampede in there too! ;)

If there are any people from Vancouver on the boards, the Vancouver section is pretty bleak. It's one of my favortite cities and I know there is much to be added. I've only been there a handful of times, but I'll add what I can.
