Hey, nobody ever forced a girl to pose for Page 3!

I tried, but it meant her spending too much time out of the kitchen

And she was pregnant anyway

...and barefoot

and wearing a headscarf?

Why would she be wearing a headscarf?

Oh, i dont know Mickeyboab.
Why should anybody be wearing a headscarf?
Why is it important?
A warped sense of respect? Sexism?
Things that are acceptable in the name of religion would never be acceptable under other circumstances.
Many have a blind spot, where religion is concerned.

Couldnt agree with you more Mel.

But I think the gist of it is that those are the rules related to that religion and if the woman is not happy wearing a headscarve then she should denounce the religion (although it's impossible to do so if u're a Muslim - Hien, correct me if I'm wrong) or strive to change how things are.

However, have you ever thought that maybe a huge majority of Muslim women dont think there's anything wrong with wearing a headscarve and thus, the rule has remained?

The idea is to TOLERATE. The tourists attending the mosque should have tolerated the rule by covering their heads. If they cant, then dont enter at all. It's not for us to judge especially when we do not embrace that religion.
