I'm heading off on the 1st of October to KL for two days, into BKK and from there we want to do North & South Thailand, Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam.
We had been planning on the following itinerary
Bangkok - Chiang mai - Laos - North to South Vietnam - Cambodia phnom penh to Siem Reap - South Thailand, Islands
We are thinking of now going the opposite way, straight to Cambodia from bangkok & working our way through vietnam, laos, northern thailand & then down south to the islands.
Can anybody tell me which way they think is best?
Any help would be great!!!
why not you try KL-Southern Thailand-Bangkok-Cambodia-Vietnam-Laos-Chiang Mai-Bangkok....
or if you plan to spend time on the islands as you last place before you fly home, then your itinerary (Bangkok - Chiang mai - Laos - North to South Vietnam - Cambodia phnom penh to Siem Reap - South Thailand, Islands) would be good though.
You going to bangkok by Air Asia or by land?
We're flying dublin-paris-KL-BKK with malaysian airlines, the KL stop is just a two day stopover as part of the flight.
So you think it would be better to go bangkok - up north rather than bangkok - cambodia?
Yea,it's much more organised.
well,i suppose you will get more suggestions later in this thread.
Really depends on when the Full Moon is.... Thats when you want to be on The Islands . Figure that out and how it fits in will determine what you may do.
We will be hitting the islands around the 20th of November - the full moon is the 26th I think so we have almost a month on the islands. Its the rest of the Journey we hadn't decided about but we're going with the thailand-laos-vietnam-cambodia-thailand route
Thanks for the help!!
