phi phi island, early octber??

My husband and i are trying to decide whether are not to travel to phi phi thailand early october. How is weather at that time? Is it warm and how much rainfall? We were thinking about a couple days around bangkok and the rest at the island. any suggestions?

Could be rainy then.. Its the endish of te normal time, but things weather wise have been wierd as of late.
I suggest you keep koh Chang or koh Samet in mind It's a bit further north of Phi Phi, East of Bangkok, It could not be raining there Since the distance is far enough. If the rain is a factor. But really the rain is warm and very nice down there.

Weather map of Thailand....you'll see that statistically, Koh Chang is in fact a little wetter than the west coast at that time of year. Samet is meant to be the driest island in Thailand.

On Koh Chang during the wet many facilities are shut down - boats etc and the weather can be anything from warm sun to torrential rain. If it gets really bad, roads are washed away and the ferry to the mainland is stopped.

As for warm - it's always warm in Thailand - 30C+ most days.
