Hey there, when exactly do you plan on going?!! I'm going to Malaysia in October this year - maybe we could meet up and travel. I'm not an extremely fit hiker though, so I'd have to do gentle to medium hikes - any more and I start hyperventilating!!
Let me know OK?
I am also not a very fit climber - having spent most of my working life sitting in front of a pc! Any climbing of mountains or molehills will have to be late or early next year as i am recocering from a surgery done in March.
October would be nice month to visit Malaysia. In fact i have about a week break during the Muslim Eid celebrations that is 12 - 20 Oct. Maybe i can tune up my trusty old car and we can do tour around interesting towns in Malaysia. How about that?
Hi, I'm in my forties too and looking for someone to travel to SW China with. On my to-do-list is the 2 day hike in Tiger Leaping Gorge and also Zhongdian(Shangri-la) for Tibetan culture.
Glad to hear from someone my age group!
Tell me more abt your plans for SW China. Like say when.., estimated budget etc
Next year late May or early June since I only came back from a three-week trip to Eastern China last April.........that should give us plenty of time to plan an itinerary, exchange emails, etc.
Budget-wise it will be low since I tend to stay in hostels and take the local transport(bus/train). If it sounds like you, then we have a lot to chat about.
What about Yangshuo or Guilin.
Next year. 3 months.
yes, Yangshuo and Guilin, Dali, Lijiang and Zhongdian(plus any place interesting in between) ........starting point in Shenzhen. But I don't have three months
Neither do i have 3 months! Susan - what time frame is suitable for you?
2 to 4 weeks. It really depends on the itinerary. Lonely Planet has a new edition out on China that I need to check out.
