Hmm... are the two of you still seeing the old Tahoma font or the new Lucida Sans Unicode?

To confirm, try this: Copy the message of one of the posts here and paste it on a word editor. Set the size to 11pt. Change the font to Tahoma, and then to Lucida Sans Unicode. Which one do you see here?

Uhm, I did and I guess this one is Lucida Sans Unicode, it looks a bit different though in Word but Tahoma looked even more different.

Yeah, just be sure to refresh your browser in case it has cached the styles I uploaded earlier.

Though I suspect it is more likely that Utrecht and Pardus don't have Cleartype turned on. If only XP turned it on by default, the internet would be a lot less ugly for a lot of people ;)

I am using a work PC and I can't install anything on this machine. Does this mean I am stuck with the ugly font?

Yeah my work PC runs Windows 2000 - am I too stuck with the ugly font?

Okay, let's form an orderly queue for the pitchforks and torches...

Do you know that some monitors have reflective screen? I suspect the ones that you two use do.

This does not solve the problem of the ugly font!!!! Would you mind just stepping over here? Don't mind those branches lying around, just rest your back on this pole....

Could we just remove Tahoma from the fallback list? I'm on Linux, and I have Tahoma, but no Lucida, and the forum is seriously painful to read like this. (Also, iirc only 50% of windows users have cleartype turned on (and a sizable percentage of those who don't actively dislike the look (I am one of those on the rare occassions that I'm on XP)), so I don't think relying on it to be on is a good idea.)

(Beyond that, this is the first time I'm seeing the new forms and stuff in their full glory, and it's looking good!)

Edit: actually, what I don't have is "Lucida Sans Unicode". I do have "Lucida Sans". Adding that in the fallback before Tahoma would work too.
