TP maps in Facebook?! Is it possible?

Travel Forums System Talk TP maps in Facebook?! Is it possible?

Hello one and all!

Ok, here's one I've been thinking about and I'm sure I am not alone:

Is it in any way possible to have these awesome TP maps appear on my Facebook profile and have them automatically update the same way that imported blogs can be? This might be totally impossible for all I know but I thought it would be a cool feature. :)

Personally the maps are my favourite feature of TP and the visual aspect means it's a little easier and more fun for people to track the travellers they love... Just thought it's the sort of thing I'd like to stick on my Facebook profile.

Any thoughts?

Hey Toby,

Funny that you asked this now. You know what? Something is coming up really soon. :) That's all that I can say now.

So hang on in there! ;)

Ok, I probably shouldn't be posting this yet, but it actually won't hurt to have a few people test this before letting absolutely everyone know:

http://apps.facebook.com/travel-map/

It's not quite as advanced as the Travellerspoint display of the map, but I think it fits well into the Facebook way of doing things.

Considering this is still being tested, let me know if you find bugs. We hope to launch it properly within a couple of days.

Saw this thread yesterday and was unsure whether to answer or not :) But yes, it's possible and it looks pretty slick imo

Fingers crossed this can be pushed live officially in the next couple of days (by the way, this is the main reason all the other changes were put up this weekend!).

SUPERB! And just in time as I leave on the first real stage of my trip this afternoon!!

Sadly the link that Peter posted just came up with error signs but if it's in the pipeline and close to completion I'm not complaining!

Again, awesome work guys! People will go mad for this I reckon!

Any chance you could elaborate on that?? There shouldn't be any errors at that point.

Scrap that.. I already figured it out. Try the link again. And please let me know of any funniness, better now than later.
