any suggestions on where to spend new years?
i'm looking to have the best new years ever,a little bit of party a little bit of culture. perferably somewhere with lots of people with the same ideas. something different from freezing in the cold cold snow. lol
Would it sound a bit provincial to suggest Las Vegas on NYE? Vegas certainly knows how to throw a party. Plenty of fireworks over the hotels, block party at the Fremont St. Experience, major headliners appearing in the showrooms at the hotels. It will certainly be warmer than Canada!
The downside is that over 300,000 others will be here to celebrate with you and they jack up the room rates for the holiday.
Vegas if you are in Canada, Pattaya if you are in Thailand. Both have fireworks, both have large crowds of happy tourists drinking to excess, but Pattaya is definitely warmer and cheaper!
Thailand's the place. Other SEA countries such as Singapore & Malaysia do celebrate X'mas but the celebrations are not as same as in Pattaya.
Or you can got to Oz.
thanks for all your replies!
North America is out because i'm currently on the other side of the world, and i've done that many many times, being Canadian. I already did oz, once in brisbane and once in hobart (bars closing at 1 am) im currently in nz and was going to spend it in auckland, but the idea of being somewhere tropical has been on my mind. Beside Asia is next on my list.
So thailand looks good. I had a friend also suggest indonesia, but not sure. I'll be alone so i really want to go somewhere where i can make some friends and have some fun.
What about a sunny Thai island?
Koh Pha Ngan maybe.
i am thinking bout going to thailand for the FULL MOON PARTY for new year and christmas .. think tht is the best place if you have been to las vegas ..
