Yes, I realize there is another thread about this same topic and it's now hovering somewhere around page ten or twelve or twenty. I am not that ambitious to go hunting it down which is why I'm starting a new one instead. I miss the old one. I may be the only one who does - but then again, sometimes, isn't self-indulgence grand?! So, here's my contribution for the day. I love these lyrics...

-----------

I bought a cheap watch from a crazy man
Floating down canal
It doesn't use numbers or moving hands
It always just says now
Now you may be thinking that I was had
But this watch is never wrong
And If I have trouble the warranty said
Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On

I have a hard time making up my mind so I'm going to post two songs This first one is a little old school (well, for me anyway):

It's hard to rely on my good intentions,
When my head's full of things that I can't mention
Seems I usually get things right
But I cant understand what I did last night
Its hard to rely on my own good senses
When I miss so much that requires attention
Have to laugh at myself sometimes
And I can see that I'm not blind.

And a little bit from one of my favorite groups, with a song that speaks volumes (at least to me)

My friends from high school
Married their high school boyfriends
Moved into houses
In the same ZIP codes where their parents live
But I
I could never follow
No I
I could never follow
I hit the highway
In a pink RV with stars on the ceiling
Lived like a gypsy
Six strong hands on the steering wheel
I’ve been a long time gone now
Maybe someday, someday I’m gonna settle down
But I’ve always found my way somehow
By takin’ the long way

Well, that my two cents

Don't worry, about a thing,
Coz every little thing's gonna be alright,
Don't worry, about a thing,
Coz every little thing's gonna be alright,
Woke up this morning, smile with a rising sun,
3 little birds pitch by my doorstep,
Singing sweet songs, of melody pure and true,
Saying, this is a song to you......................

Bob Marley

This song is really cool!!!
Feel like in the Carribean when listen to it

I'm a little teapot
Short
and stout
Here - here is my handle
And here is my spout.

When I get all steamed up
Hear me - hear me shout.
Yeah baby tip me over
And pour me out.

Westside.

Take your places
Can we fix it?
Yes we can

Bob the Builder
(Can we fix it?)
Bob the Builder
(Yes we can)

Bob the Builder

  • Cant really remember the lyric.

Quoting opospa

Take your places
Can we fix it?
Yes we can

Bob the Builder
(Can we fix it?)
Bob the Builder
(Yes we can)

Bob the Builder

  • Cant really remember the lyric.

It goes like this, and this is from my memory and not copied from a web site.

Bob the builder
Can we fix it
Bob the builder
Yes we can

Scoop, Muck and Dizzy and Rolly too
Lofty and Wendy join the crew (or as Alexander says, "did a poo" followed by fits of laughter)
Bob and the gang have so much fun
working together to get the job done.

Bob the builder
Can we fix it
Bob the builder
Yes we can

Pilchard and Bird, Travis and Spud
Playing together like good friends should....

Over the last year or so, I've watched every episode at least 1,000 times.

I like Alexander's version much better.

I've often thought that Busted's "Sleeping with the Light On" should be sang as "pooing with my pants on" but that's just my opinion.

SHUT UP!!!

Come on along with the Black Rider
We'll have a gay old time
Lay down in the web of the black spider
I'll drink your blood like wine

So come on in
It ain't no sin
Take off your skin
And dance around your bones...

The first bit of Black Rider by Tom Waits. Strange, brilliant man...

I hear the train a comin'
it's rolling round the bend
and I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom prison, and time keeps draggin' on
but that train keeps a rollin' on down to San Anton..
When I was just a baby my mama told me. Son,
always be a good boy, don't ever play with guns.
But I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die
now every time I hear that whistle I hang my head and cry..

I bet there's rich folks eating in a fancy dining car
they're probably drinkin' coffee and smoking big cigars.
Well I know I had it coming, I know I can't be free
but those people keep a movin'
and that's what tortures me...

Well if they'd free me from this prison,
if that railroad train was mine
I bet I'd move just a little further down the line
far from Folsom prison, that's where I want to stay
and I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away.....
