this happened to me in 2006 when i was in Seattle flying Eva airways for manila with a connecting flight in Taipei. my flight Seattle to Taipei was originally 2:20am. i was at the airport 3 hours before the flight and waited by myself until at the boarding gate. around 2:00 am, they announced that there will be a delay and boarding will be at 3:00am... and so i waited much more... by the time it was 3 am, they announced in the PA system that the flight would be delayed another 45 minutes... so all the passengers were waiting... at 3:45am... they announced that the flight will be canceled due to mechanical problems...

they gave us snacks and drinks while we were waiting for our hotel accommodations to be processed. there were a lot of passengers and so i waited in line for another decade... i was able to get to my hotel around 6:30 am...

they arranged the flight the following day for Taipei.. and then overnight stay again in Taipei before we are bound to manila... i chose to stay for two more nights in Seattle because i didn't want to spend the night alone in Taipei...eventually i was able to arrive in manila

though it was such a hassle on my part, the service of Eva airways was quite commendable as they provided snacks, hotel accommodation with breakfast and prepaid international phone cards...:)

Passport Premier is some sort of site that purports to offer cheap business class airfares with international airlines around the world. Googling 'Passport Premier' delivers links to websites such as insideflyer, thehulltruth and flyertalk which have discussion forums suggesting that PP is a site that delivers nothing but loads of unwanted spammy e-mails. Does anyone here have any experience of this?

Wow, I will steer clear of Qatar for sure.

Millyvanilly123, please don't steer clear of Qatar, which is an excellent airline. I've flown them several times, most recently on June 18 from New York to Amritsar, India, by way of Doha. Check out my Travellerspoint.com map, "Bob's 2016 travel -- in progress."

Important: You have to be careful of what you read online.

Many of the Middle Eastern airlines, such as Qatar and Emirates, have excellent track records; and attractive fares to the places where you are going. So don't rule them out!

MIllyvanilly123, look at the top right of each response. What happened here is someone added a spam post (which has been deleted) to a thread that is 9 YEARS old. So you are reading a comment on Qatar that is 9 YEARS old. Only responses 12, 13, 14, and 15 are new.

This happens sometimes with spammers, so always look at how OLD a post is. ;)
