I heard today that Britain has expelled four Russian diplomats in retaliation to Russia not handing over a suspect in the Litvinenko case.
I was just about to book tickets to fly out there this evening, now I'm wondering if the situation degrades further, whether I'd get in the coutry or they'd stop all VISAs.
I don't want to loose out on the cash in case something like this does happen.
EDIT: Arse, can't believe I spelt Britain wrong in the title.

All you can do is try getting the visa and hope like hell you do. Russia is a great country to visit, so if they will issue a visa go for it.
I dont think you will have a problem. Even during the Cold war you could get a Visa. And this is nothing like that - altho the rediculous British sensationalized press would have you believe it is the start of the Cold War again!
Ok off my soap box - Countries tend to seperate the Government from the citizens these days anyway.
There's really nothing to worry about, it's all diplomatic posturing, they certainly won't stop giving visas to British citizens. Britain and Russia have a far closer relationship than most people imagine.
