Most of the members there live in Munich, are native English speakers and have kids just like you.

Why would the members have kids that are just like Mel? *puzzled* ;)

Because I am also an English speaking foreigner, with a child, living in Munich. I think(i did not examine it, yet) the site is especially for English speaking Expat parents, to help us get the information we need, about parenting related issues in Germany.

Thanks Maria.:)
It is hard to believe, that one could have culture shock, when moving from one EU country to another. But where being a parent is concerned, Germany is so different from Ireland.

How long have you lived in Germany for?

Because you have lived in Germany for more than 3 years but still seem to be suffering from culture shock, which seems odd after that length of time.

And the name's James. What's your name?

James, u know nothing about living in Germany, do u?
Have u ever even lived, outside Australia?
I specifically asked for Germans and people living in Germany with kids, to respond to this thread, for a reason.

You did ask specifically for an answer from German people, however I thought that the suggestions that I offered would be useful.

No, I have never lived in Germany but yes, I spent a number of years living outside of Australia and I know the stresses and strains of living in a foreign environment.

U thought making references to my lack of ingenuity would be useful?
Telling somebody, that they lack ingenuity despite having experience is akin to calling a person stupid.
If u give suggestions, and then call a person stupid for not knowing the information, that sort of negates any help the suggestions would have been.
Not to mention that these coments provide fodder, for certain trolls, whom I will leave unnamed.

You took my comments too personally. You seem to be a very experienced person; you've moved around a bit, you own a property in Dublin, you've travelled to many different places and you seem to go somewhere new every month. Yet you're having trouble finding school supplies - it just didn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
