If you are looking for a hostel in Budapest, I would recommend "Station Guest House". Stayed there a few years ago and really liked it. Look it up on google.

Hope this helps,

Pranav

Hello Bsong:)

Yes, a hostel is the best place to stay, if u want to do organised group activities.
Hostels often have a lot of advertisements, for things like that.
Google hostels, budapest. That will give u a list to choose from. U can also book your hostel bed online.

Alright mate,

I stayed in the "Our Place" hostel near the train station both times I went. It is in a decent location, plenty of buses etc. Near the main train station. It was cheap and clean and we met a good bunch there.

We spent a lot of hours walking around Budapest looking for a hostel and this was the best. Some nearer the centre were expensive. Around the 30USD a night which for me is TOO much!

Hope that helps.

Hi Bsong,

I highly recommend the Kalmar B&B which is a mansion overlooking the Gellert Spa and the Danube.
http://www.hotelhungary.com/hotel/kalmar.asp (I think we were the only Americans staying there, but lots of Europeans visit regularly and swear by the place.)

Esther runs the B&B and is incredibly helpful. Besides a great breakfast, Esther had coffee for us at night with cookies laid out in our room. It's also the only place I've ever stayed where the Innkeeper gave me a bottle of wine on our last day. The location is fantastic and near pedestrian streets with lots of restaurants and shops. (i.e. http://www.oceanbargrill.com/en/mainpage )

Then treat yourself to a massage at the Gellert.
