Okay, tickets are ready. Now, I am asking for your favor to share your opinions about accomodations in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. I have gather some GH names here but still, maybe you can help me make the better choice. I prefer Guest House that also provides City Tour and transport pick up to/from the Airport (I will arrive in PP but leave from SR). And FYI, I only have budget of maximum $15 per night in both cities

Here are some names I gather from here:

Phnom Penh:
Capitol GH
Sunday GH
Rory's GH

Siem Reap:
Popular GH
Bou Savy GH
D&D Angkor Villa

And oh, anybody ever enter Cambodia using eVisa? I heard that the Visa process at the airport takes longer than regular Visa.

Thank you so much everyone

Amie

In Siem Reap i stayed in a place called the Hilton Angkor , it was only 5 dollars a night but was really clean with big rooms high ceilings nice bathrooms and really friendly staff who were a good laugh and would do anything for you . The only problem was it cost about a dollar to get to the main backpacker area and the old market , this was not really a big deal as it only took about 5 min to get there .

In Phnom Phenh i stayed in a place called the Green Lake GH , they had rooms from 4 to 6 Dollars .
The 6 Dollar ones was a bigger improvement on the 4 Dollar ones , and again it was friendley with a nice open deck looking on to the lake with a bar , and a shit load of DVDs and a pool table , and as much dope as you can smoke as well if you want , nobody minds if you roll a joint in the guest house at the bar etc .

In Phnom Penh I stayed at King's Guesthouse. They have a range of rooms from $3 - $25 - we paid $12 and got an ensuite with TV. it's clean and friendly, has a little restaurant and can organise tours and onward travel. I'm not sure if they pick up from the airport.

Ami,
You have done your homework. I don't stay at Capitol GH in PP, but do eat there, take their tours and use their bus service. They now have better rooms than in the past. Get a single or double fan room and you are still under $8/nite. Popular GH in SR is an affiliate of Capitol GH. Basic, but OK. I stayed with them twice while in SR, about $6/nite. Decent restaurant, guides & transport available on premises. Easy walk to restaurants and the market. If you stay with Capitol or book your boat ticket with them, a Popular GH bus will meet your boat for transport to Siem Reap. Capitol GH bus will go to Popular once in SR.

I have not used the e-visa, but it may save some time as you do not have to queue with the others getting visa on arrival. Have a great trip.
