I will be over in Venice at the end of September this year, and need to find some accommodation. It doesn't necessarily need to be in the heart of Venice - just so long as it is clean, with transport redily available. I am travelling with my partner so was hoping to pay max 40euro per person per night. If anyone has had any good experiences, being in a B&B, or Hostel or the like, or reccommend any sites other than cross-polinate..it would be greatly appreciated!
I have just booked this guest house for Venice in November - I haven't stayed there yet but I did some research before booking it and it seems to have got good reviews and is pretty central.
Dang! I was going to recommend Cross-Pollinate. We stayed at an apartment called "Ca Maria" for about 50 Euro per night apiece. It was beautiful, nicely located, perfect for cookign your own meals, and came with fridge full of breakfast stuff and a few beers.
Enjoy your trip!
I stayed at Plus Camping Alba D'Oro Camping for 10 EUR per night in May. They have 2 person tents and bungalows for rent, and it was nice. I can really recommend staying in one of their house tents, especially for a couple on a budget. Only annoying thing was the noise from the planes (worst around 10-12 am and 8 pm, but none in the night) as they are directly near Marco Polo airport.
