Hey, I wonder if anyone can help me -

I'm planning on going to the Sziget Festival in Budapest in a weeks time. I am flying into Bratislava on the 6th of August and then want to get to Budapest the day after. This is where my problem emerges - all the website relating to rail travel between the two countries are not in English!
My Hungarian and Slovakian are a bit rusty so I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea as to how much this might cost.

All I have been able to find is a web site for a hydrofoil between the two cities that costs 99 euros return. I'm sure this isn't the cheapest option so I would really appreciate any information that anyone can give me.

Thanks!

www.bahn.de gives me a EC connection running for 2:32 hours via Szob, at 11:45, 15:45 and 19:45 from Bratislava hl.st. Price for this connection according to jizdenka.cz is approx. 22 EUR 2nd class plus fee for EC fast train.

There are other, slower non-EC connections which require changes, but they aren't cheaper as they run over a longer distance and thus you have to pay more.

Theres an english version of the bahn site, www.bahn.co.uk, that is oddly not linked from the german one. Great site though and it should give you all the info you need.
