Hey Hey,

So what's the real deal with this fruit picking lark?
I've heard it's a hard job but with certain benefits such as being with a big group of travellers for a couple of months/accomodation/and of course the chance to extend your WHV for another year!

I'm undecided as to whether to give it a go... Anyone got any good stories about it or anything?

I'd say give it a go! Its not the best pay-wise, but fruit picking is usually social work, out in the sun (hopefully lol), and you'll definitely meet some great people while doing it :) I personally really enjoy vineyard work, which has more varied tasks than day-in, day-out picking fruit. But whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll have fun. Oh, if you're not a fan of spiders though then I'd advise you stay away from bananas!!

I didnt enjoy it that much in victoria when i did it (potatoes) but my cousin was picking strawberries for 2 months just north of brisbane and she loved it.
