Hi All

Arriving in Cairns in mid Nov and making our way down to Sydney for Xmas. Just wondering is circa 6 weeks long enough? Advice on things we shloud not miss. Apart from the obvious such as the Whitsunday's, Frazer,GBF, Brizzy,Daintree,Surfers. Will the weather be decent? Many thanks

Six weeks is fine.

Dont miss out on going crocodile hunting steve irwin style on the queensland rivers. Great fun, going out on a small boat with a spotlight searching for their red eyes in the dark. Theres a guy that does this and he leaves from mission beach (can be arranged at mission beach information centre).

Also dont miss out on the waterfall circuit jut south of cairns. Millaa Millaa waterfall is beautiful, google it n u shud recognise it its been in shampoo adverts.

Lone Pine koala sanctuary just outside of brizzy is amazing and you can hold a koala bear. Also nearby here is the glasshouse mountains, if you have any problems seeing any wild kangaroos you should see some up here, we saw loads. Australia Zoo is also worth a visit definatly and pay extra to have a tour around the animal hopital that stevey got going there it really is facinating.

Apart from the obvious thats what i can think off from the top of my head

have fun

Nici

6 weeks should be ok. Further to the places already mentioned, noosa and Byron bay are worth a stop. make sure you book your accommodation in sydney asap if you haven't already.
the weather should be good.
