Hi there, first time poster here!
In Jan next year me and my g'friend are heading off on an (almost) RTW tour. We are heading (from London) to Singapore, then Oz, New Zealand, Fiji, Japan, China, SE Asia then finally to India.
We have planned out pretty much all of the trip except the journey from Hong Kong to Hanoi, I was just wondering the easiest ways of doing this, and preferably the cheaper the better. Which is the best mode of transport? and how easy will it be to do?
All information will be much appreciated, esp. journey lengths and rough price guides.
Thanks v.much in advance.
I think it will be very difficult to find a cheap flight from Hongkong to Hanoi. You can check United Airways, but it only provides somehow cheap flights from Hongkong to Hochiminh City (another big city in the south of Vietnam, Hanoi is in the north)
You can go by this way:
- Take a fairy (speed boat) to Macau
- From here fly by Tiger Airways (www.tigerairways.com) to Singapore
- From Singapore you can fly to Hanoi in the same way: by Tiger Airways
If you book the flights in advance, I think you will get your one-way ticket for only 200-300$ instead of a normal ticket of 400-500$
ok, thanks for the info.
Is there any other ways of doing this that anyone knows about? i.e. train?
You might want to check a previous thread about this subject
It doesnt sound so simple (referring to the data on the Linked THREAD)
I will be in Macau, then from there I would need to go to two Chinese areas: Naning to Hanoi.
Is HONG KONG AIRLINES cheaper to go to Hanoi?
