Hi folks!

Can someone please suggest an itinerary for Nepal in December?

I'll be flying in from Delhi. I was figuring two days in Kathmandu and driving to Pokhara for about 4-5 days.
Are there places worth seeing between the two cities? (I'm skipping Chitwan as I'm hitting some parks in India instead).

I'm primarily interested in photography, seeing some interesting culture/temples, day hikes, a bit of rafting, maybe a hot air balloon trip, an Everest flight, markets...anything else a MUST see?

Also, if you know of a reputable tour group or driver, pls let me know.

Thanks from Canada.

Adrian

Adrian,
Allow longer in Kathmandu: Thamel, Durbar Square, Bakhtapur, Pashupatinath, Boudanath.
Also, think about what some of the trekking companies do - they get you OUT of Kathmandu fast because there is a high chance you'll have stomach trouble if you stay a few days. They control your diet on a trek, where you don't want to be ill, then they let you have a few days in Kathmandu on the way out.
Trust me!
Oh, and Rum Doodles is a must.

Hi
You can look around Kathmandu during 2 days and on the way to Pokhara you can do short rafting trip on TRISHULI river. From POKHARA, there are several duration of Annapurna trek package which you can join. You can do Poonhill trek & explore around in short period. Hot air ballooning is not running now a days, there will be an hour Everest flight from Kathmandu & alternatively you can join paragliding trip at Pokhara. -snip-
