Wow - a chain song!!! I have to say, that one will not be stuck in my head - ever.

Here's what I'm hearing in my head this morning: (Anything to drown out Bananarama!)

Right In Time - Lucinda Williams
A Little Bit Is Better Than Nada - Texas Tornados (Yeah, they are back in my head again.)

♪♪♫♫And you say I only hear what I want to:
I don't listen hard,
don't pay attention to the distance that you're running
to anyone, anywhere,
I don't understand if you really care,
I'm only hearing negative: no, no, no. ♪♪

I know this is totally lame but I had the hotwire.com commercial song stuck in my head today. How pathetic.

After watching that cutie with the dreads sing it on American Idol last night (yeah, yeah--I know), I now have this Leonard Cohen song going round in my head. It's haunting me, really, it's so beautiful:

Baby I have been here before
I know this room, I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya.
I've seen your flag on the marble arch
Love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

--autumns monologue by from atumn to ashes--

Oh why can't I be what you need?
A new improved version of me
But I'm nothing so good
No, I'm nothing
Just bones, a lonely ghost burning down songs
Of violence of love and of sorrow
I beg for just one more tomorrow
Where you hold me down, fold me in
Deep, deep, deep in the heart of your sins

I know what you mean, that was a good performance...I made my boyfriend watch the whole of American Idol on the repeat just to hear that and the Lionel Ritchie song. I am addicted to American Idol this season, I think the guys are far better than the girls...I usually hate these programmes but for some reason I like this season!

After hearing Hallelujah I just had to get the Jeff Buckley CD, Grace so I can listen to that song over and over!

As to this morning for some reason I woke up with 'From Yesterday' by 30 seconds to Mars in my head and I really don't know why!
