Quoting Herr Bert

[quote=tway]Don't know that I will
but until
I can find me
a girl who'll stay and
won't play games behind me.
Till then I'll be what I am,
a solitary man.

- the Johnny Cash version

I am going to walk to my CD-collection now, and will put this CD in my PC. This was a song I played often, after a short romance, with a girl called Caroline. Before Solitary Man, I had Sweet Caroline as a favourite for a while. (so I traded one Neil Diamond song for another )

The American records serie by Johnny Cash, Rule!! (big time)

But in my head for some days now: Accelerate by R.E.M. (the song)

Herr Bert's post knocked Lucinda Williams out of my head and replaced her with (Neil's) Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show which is slowly morphing into Red Red Wine (kind of a Neil and UB40 duet version which, obviously, I just invented).

Tway - Are you going to see Leonard Cohen? I'm seeing him in Dublin on the 15th June, can't wait!!

Aargh--no! I waited 3 days and all 3 concerts were completely sold out. He's originally form here so I guess the natives jumped on the chance. Dang!

And for today, I've got Katrina and the Waves jump-up-and-dance "Walking on Sunshine" stuck in my head. Hooray for Fridays and spring weather!!!!!

"There she was just a-walking down the street..."

Except I have the Mini-Wheats version stuck in my head:

There she was
with a cinnamon strussel
singing
mini mini mini mini mini mini wheats...

Pretty Vacant by the King

This is a version of the Sex Pistols song, sung on the Elvis way.
