Quoting TunaOK

How can anyone miss the Nasi Lemak ( coconut fragrant rice ) and telur separuh masak ( half boil eggs ) ?

You forgot the teh tarek (literally "pulled tea" - ie tea mixed with condensed milk then poured from one receptacle to another at a (sometimes great) height). And the roti prata too

Yes yes couldn't agree more to the national and typical breakfast of Malaysia..

Fragrant coconut (sometimes even with 'pandan' leaves to give that umphh!) with accompaniments like curry chic with cubed potatoes, long beans fried with chilli dried shrimps, fried egg for a change, and lastly spicy 'sambal' to create the burning sensation on the tongue - all serve on banana leaf. And if eaten with fingers - the better.

French toast (white bread sliced, dipped in beaten egg, griddled or sauteed in a hot pan with butter so it comes up golden and crispy on the outside but soft and flavoursome on the inside, then dusted with a tiny amount of cinnamon) with maple syrup and of course crispy bacon (streaky rashers are best) on the side. A large glass of freshly squeezed orange juice and a cup of cafe con leche (not too milky) made from an espresso machine. Mmmmmm....

Starving now, me - you'd all be welcome if there was anything in the fridge, but sadly, it's all in my head. Maybe I can do something about that. Off to the shops! This is what comes of going on TP before breakfast (yes I know it's after half-two, but it's the summer. And I'm a teacher!!!

Not for long . . . . When do your schools go back?

Well, they go back on August 27th. But....I'm not going back this year! Taking a year's leave of absence to travel. Off to Ecuador mid-September. To volunteer. Sorry, gone off topic big time here. Off to get brunchfast :)
