fcmartinez has indicated that this thread is about Spain

I have the opportunity to spend 6 days at a beachfront resort in October. I have 3 choices, and can't decide where to stay. Huelva, Estepona, or Marbella? Any idea where would be the best spot to stay? Also, I'd be interested in day trips to possibly: Sevilla, Ronda, Cordoba, Granada, and/or Gibraltar. Are there any day trips that are a must see? Anyone know what the weather is like in this area in October?

PLEASE HELP! Thanks :)

Ronda is a viable day-trip from Marbella or Estepona. Likewise Gibraltar is a possible from Estepona. None of your other ideas are close enough to make sense as a day-trip. Anyway, Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada all need more time if you are going get even the smallest flavour of what the cities are like. My favourite amongst the others would be Granada and I would certainly suggest trying to add a couple of days onto your holiday to visit the city: the Alhambra is just astounding (make sure to book in advance).

Definitely head to Ronda - it's so incredibly beautiful. It's easy enough to see in a day, too.

Well Estepona and Marbella are so overrun with Brits you will just hate it.. No offence to the Brits out there, but they're not Spanish anymore.. If you want a great beach get away, come to Salobrena, it's only an hour south of Granada, buses are frequent and cheap. Salobrena is a lovely little Spanish town right on the sea, accomodation is extremely cheap, and we still give free tapas with your drink order. Seville is only 4 hours away, Malaga 1 hour 10 min by car 2 hrs by bus.. also very cheap. There are several little villages all along the coast so you will have plenty to see.

Just remember, if you are going to the Alhambra, book on line at their website alhambratickets.com. If you really have to choose between the three, go to Huelva for a real Spanish experience.. You will love Andalucia..

I really appreciate all your comments.
I guess the main decision is where to stay.
I have THREE choices: Huelva, Marbella or Estepona.
Any thoughts????
