Hello, I am currently in New Zealand and will be travelling to India in a few months. I did not arrange a visa before I left my home country (US). Can I still obtain one? I will be in Kathmandu for a few days, can I get one there? Thank you.

Hello Elderado:)

I dont see any reason why u cant get one in any Indian consulate, around the world.
Getting an Indian visa is relatively straight forward.

A small word of warning...if you are getting an Indian visa outside your country of citizenship, it can take a long time. So get it early. Check, check and double check when the embassy is open - it will usually be closed for national AND Indian holidays. I was stuck in KL waiting for my Indian visa for a week. It was a real pain.
