. . . the hundred post mark. Very exciting! Now I just have to catch up with those of you in the thousands. Don't know how I'll accomplish this, but maybe some of the old people will get carpal tunnel and be unable to type. Mikey and Hien could be problems, so I'll have to work on a plan for them. Could be enough just to give Hien some more madness to moderate. Mikey's tricky though. . . Anyone have any suggestions?

Congrats K!!!

Stick around for a couple of years....Mikey and Hien will be old by then and ready for the pie factory, your post count will go up, and you'll be able to take over!!!

You could always invite members with high post counts to Iowa and let the Corn Monsters get them....no one will ever know............(Isa and I are immune, by the way, as we are already surrounded by corn).

Hey! Congrats Katherine!!

Beerman is correct - we have an abundance of Corn Monsters out here so our immunity is in great shape. Not sure about Mikey, but Hien will have no immunity at all. (But, he does have a snazzy new winter jacket that may come in handy for those cold Iowa nights in the cornfields.) If you can find Mikey a tart, he'll be too busy with her to post. Barring the female version, maybe he'd like a nice pecan or cherry one.

Just remember, increasing your post count will require long hours at the keyboard in Off Topic. Okay, so it doesn't do anything towards your title but so what - it's the numbers that count. ;)

Mickeyboab once gave a good post boosting tip. Maybe u could try it too.
Go into the introductions forum. Introduce yourself, then thank everybody who welcomes u. And welcome absolutely everybody who joins TP.
I never bother to do that myself. I just welcome people, when/if they come my way or else just chat or answer their travel questions. :)

What do you think about the Field of Dreams? That may be a good place to loose people - or maybe they'll just turn into ghosts? Gotta get to work on this quick though or all the corn will be gone!

Hehe... Three years ago, you would have been a Travel Guru with this post count. :)

I am so not a Travel Guru but becoming a Respected Member would be nice - Gotta work on the blog and the pics for that I suppose.

Mel, the Field of Dream, like from the movie - it's not far from where I live - it was mostly in response to Kris and Gretchen's talk of Corn Monsters and such

Katherine, give me one quality, meaningful, thought-provoking or belly laugh-inducing post instead of one thousand pieces of post drivel!! It's the occasional gems that make their mark, not the abundant, random, two-finger keyboard flailings of the forum chatterboxes. What's in a number??? We old fogies will tell you we still know exactly how it felt to be nineteen.. in fact we still think we are nineteen! This, by the way, is not aimed at any frequent posters - some people have the happy gift of always making quality contributions, allbeit in great quantities
Just don't sweat it with the high score thing - I'm actually trying to achieve having posted less than 100 by my first anniversary on TP, and doin ok I b'lieve
