Hey-I was planning on spending 9 days in Perth early Sept but today I found some cheap flights from Perth to Broome-and I couldnt resist. So I now have 3 nights in Broome. Is this enough??

What do people suggest I do in those 3 days? I definately want to do the camel ride on Cable Beach-and spend some time at the beach. Are there any good day tours?

Im open to all suggestions as i hadnt anticipated going to Broome. Also where do people recommend to stay-it will have to be a hostel-but Im not really after staying in a party hostel for those 3 nights!!

Thanks for any info/advice!!

Hey hels,

Broome is a nice little town, but I honestly found there wasn't much to do. You already have planned the camel ride, then chill out at Cable beach for a day and on the third you could do a tour to one of the Pearl farms or check out the Broome museum. The old open air cinema is defintely a must, it's wonderful to watch a movie with thousands of stars above your head. And lastly, the hostel choice. There is three I know of, Cable Beachbackpacker is a nice and relaxed place but staff can be a bit arrogant and it fills up quickly in summer. I also liked the Last Resort I had to move to when CBB was full, it's smaller and more central. Kimberley Klub is a bit more expensive but apparently nice as well. Maybe have a look at their websites and decide then.

In my opinion Broome is way overrated...It's ok if you want to lie on the beach, which is beutiful also go and see the dinosaur footprints, but three days is plenty, not much else to do than relax
